All American Marine is an internationally recognized manufacturer of aluminum high performance passenger ferries, research vessels and other custom manufactured work boats.  We are looking for skilled individuals who are exceptional team players, easy to work with, who enjoy their work and have good people skills.

Summary of Functions:
These are permanent, full-time positions for individuals who are eager to be on a Team that builds award-winning passenger ferries and research vessels.  The Production/Craft worker will be involved in the manufacture of large boats (upto 140 feet in length) working under Craft Supervisors and Crew during boat construction with the main roles being:
     A)  to keep the boat and work areas clean, organized, and clear of debris and clutter and
     B)  individuals who show interest, aptitude and eagerness will be trained in one or more of the crafts as an  
           assistant.  This could develop in to an On-the-Job Training experience into one or more crafts  (Welding,
           Systems Installation, Carpentry/Interiors, etc).
The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Follow Supervisor and Lead instructions.
  2. Assist with Craft departments to keep equipment and work areas clean, organized and clear of clutter.
  3. Knowledge of basic hand tools and how to use them.
  4. Work 40 hours + per week with occasional overtime as needed.  Typical work schedule is 4/10 hr. days.
 
Essential Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:
  • Able to lift and carry 50lb loads up and down steps; work at heights; work in confined spaces and be on your feet most of the work shift.The employee must have excellent stamina.
  • Demonstrates safety awareness.
  • Detail oriented and organized while able to continuously improve efficiency.
  • Ability to follow directions while able to work independently, be a self-starter and be punctual.
  • Ability to perform basic math, take measurements, read and write.
  • Good interpersonal/communication skills and a positive attitude.
