Job Summary
The Building Envelope Quality Control (BEQC) Foreman ensures that the building envelope  (BE) project plans; subcontractors and related materials achieve the highest level of quality and performance.
Summary of Essential Functions
  • Assist with project setup by reviewing BE plan documents including all RFIs, contracts, submittals, plan specifications and building envelope team documents.
  • Develop envelope protection recommendations for project specific materials to prevent damage and injury while under construction.
  • Maintain positive, professional relationships with subcontractors and understands each exterior subcontractor’s scope of work.
  • Create kick-off and close-out meetings as they pertain to the BE scopes including below grade waterproofing, above grade waterproofing, concrete, liquid-applied horizontal waterproofing, framing, cladding and roofing.
  • Create and distribute BE documents for subcontractors including managing all mock-ups and mock-up reports.
  • Review, document and ensure accurate work from subcontractors.
  • Identify areas requiring improvement and enforce the company’s high quality expectations.
  • Complete closeout checklist with inspection forms, project photos and organize the final review.
  • Work closely with the Sr. Building Envelope Foreman to complete prep work for subcontractors, resolve complex issues and ensure the project schedule is met.
 
Summary of Essential Requirements
 
  1. Minimum of 3 years experience working with exterior subcontractors on commercial, mixed-use and/or multi-family projects or 5 years experience in residential exterior construction.
  2. Possess advanced knowledge in layout, crew management, issue resolution and subcontractor coordination related to exterior waterproofing and cladding.
  3. Possess advanced organizational and professional verbal and written communication skills.
  4. Intermediate to advanced competency with computer and typing skills including the ability to use Bluebeam/PDF, photo editing, MS Word and Excel and Internet usage.
