The Opportunity:  this is a key technical and relational position leading approximately 28 engineers and designers while engaging top level professionals among the Clients who have challenging and exciting projects. This is a branch office of a 400+ person company.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
  • 15 to 20 years engineering experience with a minimum of 10 of those years in the oil refining/downstream sector.
  • Proven Project Management experience.
  • Most relevant experience must be from a Consulting Engineering operation.
  • Excellent team/leadership communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Project Controls and Reporting.
  • Experienced in leading projects and interacting with Clients in a positive, supportive way.
  • Must have experience in developing positive Client relationships and Project Proposal.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced work environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Engineering license
  • Living within 50 miles of Concord, CA
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Branch office work quality in accordance with company quality requirements.
  • Develop staff and assist the Technical Manager in staff performance reviews.
  • Manage an engineering team of 30-50 engineers, designers and support personnel.
  • Manage project scope, changes and client negotiations.
  • Forecast work backlog.
  • Engage and maintain positive client relationships
  • Help develop project proposals and man-hour estimates
